Terms of service

Rules for using the TeachMania Windows poller and this cloud API. Last updated 31 October 2026.

By installing TeachMania or signing in at https://smart-poller.learncentre.tech you agree to these terms. The operator is LearnCentre (“we”, “us”). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

TeachMania is a Windows desktop tool for teachers. Live-chat capture and poll logic run on the teacher’s PC. This cloud only: identifies the teacher with Google, checks the plan, takes payment via Razorpay, and issues a short-lived capture ticket.

We do not capture YouTube on your behalf, store student chat, or proxy live messages.

2. Accounts

You must sign in with your own Google account. You are responsible for the Windows PCs you register. Device limits and concurrent-live limits are those of your plan. Sharing a single paid seat in a way that bypasses those limits is not allowed.

3. Plans, trial, and payment

A trial, if offered, is time-limited and may restrict devices or concurrent lives. Paid plans are billed through Razorpay in INR as shown at checkout. Fees are charged according to the plan you select. Chargebacks and unpaid invoices may suspend capture until the account is in good standing.

4. Acceptable use

We may suspend or ban an account that abuses the service, including token reuse or payment fraud.

5. Your content and student data

Class content and live chat remain on your computer and on YouTube. We are not a school of record and we are not your students’ data processor for chat. See the privacy policy for what little account data we hold.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the licence API available but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Capture stops if your ticket expires, your plan lapses, or the API returns 401.

7. Intellectual property

TeachMania, the Windows app, and this API are owned by LearnCentre or its licensors. You get a limited, revocable licence to use the app for your teaching while your plan is valid. You may not reverse engineer the licence system or republish our keys.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for lost classes, YouTube outages, or poll results that the local app does not capture. To the extent Indian law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the then-current billing period.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the operator’s principal place of business in India have jurisdiction, except where consumer law says otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these terms by publishing a new version on this page. Continued use after the “last updated” date means you accept the new terms.
